Engineering Distance Education

Systems engineering an option for distance learners

EE 590 M70 46282 Systems Integration and Test to be offered Fall 2009.

System Integration and Test is intended to discuss issues related to integrating both hardware and software components to form a working system, testing that the components as well as the whole system work as intended at each level, and that the process tracks with the system requirements and configuration management processes. The I&T issues will be related to formal systems engineering design reviews as well as the formal design process. Contact Dr. Horan for more information regarding this course.

At the undergraduate level, we currently offer a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology, a completion program. For more information, please click here.

At the graduate level, we offer the Master of Science in Industrial Engineering (30 credit hours) by distance education for qualified applicants. We offer the following degrees:

  • Master's of Science in Industrial Engineering (MSIE) - 30 credit hours

Courses are delivered via a mixture of downloadable web files, CD’s, video tape, and some live classes, when appropriate. The distance education classes are frequently "piggy-backed" with the on-campus offerings.

All graduate distance education students come to Las Cruces after completing the required coursework to take a final oral master's examination.
